Half Burpee
Cardio & Conditioning · full · beginner
How to do it
Start in a high plank, jump both feet forward toward the hands so you land in a low squat position, then jump them straight back to the plank and repeat without standing up.
Muscles worked
Primary: full · Also works: core, shoulders, quads
Equipment
No equipment
Common mistakes
- Letting the hips shoot up as the feet come in, which loads the lower back rather than the legs
- Landing with the feet far behind the hands so you never actually reach the squat position
- Letting the elbows bend and the chest sink toward the floor as you tire
Variations
- Step the feet in and out for a no-jump version
- Add a push-up between reps
- Full burpee with a stand and jump at the top
