Front Rack Carry
Carry · full · intermediate
How to do it
Clean two kettlebells to the front rack so they rest on the forearms with the elbows tucked in tight to the ribs, brace the abs against the forward pull, and walk tall in a straight line.
Muscles worked
Primary: full · Also works: core, shoulders, traps
Equipment
Kettlebells
Common mistakes
- Letting the elbows flare out and down, which drops the bells onto the wrists and rounds the upper back
- Leaning back to counterbalance the load instead of bracing the abs and staying stacked
- Holding the breath the whole walk rather than taking short breaths behind a braced trunk
Variations
- Single kettlebell in the front rack
- Goblet carry holding one bell at the chest
- Add a 20-second static hold at the end of the walk
