Hold one heavy dumbbell at your side like a suitcase and walk a set distance keeping the shoulders level and the torso completely upright, then swap hands and repeat.

Common mistakes
- Letting the torso lean away from the weight, which turns off the side that is supposed to be working
- Shrugging the loaded shoulder up toward the ear instead of letting it hang long
- Carrying a weight so light there is nothing for the trunk to resist
