Equipment

No equipment

Common mistakes

  • Using a door that opens toward you — always anchor on the hinge side so the door cannot swing open
  • Gripping so hard the forearms fail before the back gets any work
  • Pulling with a rounded upper back instead of leading with the sternum

Variations

  • Single-arm towel row with a staggered stance
  • Three-second lower on every rep to add time under tension
