L-Sit Hold
Core · core · advanced
How to do it
Sit with legs straight in front, plant the hands beside the hips on the floor or on two blocks, then press down hard through straight arms to lift the hips and heels clear of the ground and hold.
Muscles worked
Primary: core · Also works: hip_flexors, triceps, shoulders
Equipment

Common mistakes
- Shrugging into the shoulders instead of pushing them down and away from the ears
- Bending the knees and calling it an L-sit — start with a tuck hold and earn the straight legs
- Rounding the lower back and letting the chest collapse rather than sitting tall
Variations
- Tuck L-sit with knees to chest
- One leg straight, one tucked
- Hands on parallettes or push-up handles for more clearance
