Feet-Elevated Inverted Row
Pull · back · intermediate
Start
FinishHow to do it
Set up under a sturdy table edge or low bar with your heels on a chair so your body is level with the ground, then pull your chest to the edge and lower until the arms are straight.
Muscles worked
Primary: back · Also works: biceps, core
Equipment
No equipment
Common mistakes
- Letting the hips drop so the body sags into a banana shape — squeeze glutes to hold a plank
- Stopping halfway because the chest never reaches the bar; shorten the set instead of shortening the reps
- Pulling to the throat rather than to the lower chest, which jams the shoulders forward
Variations
- Add a two-second hold with the chest touching the bar
- Underhand grip to bias the biceps
