Close-Grip Lat Pulldown

Using a V-handle or narrow grip, sit tall with the thighs pinned, lean back about 15 degrees and pull the handle to your upper stomach, driving the elbows straight down along the ribs.

Common mistakes
- Rocking the torso back toward horizontal to move heavier weight
- Ending the pull when the handle touches rather than when the shoulder blades have fully depressed
- Letting the shoulders ride up to the ears at the top of the return
