similar: Bent Over Two-Dumbbell Row

How to do it

Stand on the middle of a band with feet hip-width, hinge to roughly 45 degrees with a flat back, and row both handles to your lower ribs until the elbows are behind the body.

Muscles worked

Primary: back · Also works: biceps, rear delts

Equipment

Resistance bands

Common mistakes

  • Letting the chest drop and the spine round as the band tension climbs
  • Standing up out of the hinge on every rep to help the band along
  • Rowing to the chest rather than the lower ribs, which pulls the elbows out wide

Variations

  • Wide-stance band row for extra tension at the top
  • Single-arm bent-over band row with the free hand braced on the thigh
