Bent-Over Band Row
Pull · back · beginner
Start
FinishHow to do it
Stand on the middle of a band with feet hip-width, hinge to roughly 45 degrees with a flat back, and row both handles to your lower ribs until the elbows are behind the body.
Muscles worked
Primary: back · Also works: biceps, rear delts
Equipment
Resistance bands
Common mistakes
- Letting the chest drop and the spine round as the band tension climbs
- Standing up out of the hinge on every rep to help the band along
- Rowing to the chest rather than the lower ribs, which pulls the elbows out wide
Variations
- Wide-stance band row for extra tension at the top
- Single-arm bent-over band row with the free hand braced on the thigh
