Tibialis Raise
Squat · calves · beginner
Start
FinishHow to do it
Lean your back against a wall with the heels a foot or so out in front, then pull the toes up toward the shins as far as they go and lower them slowly to the floor.
Muscles worked
Primary: calves
Equipment
No equipment
Common mistakes
- Standing the feet too close to the wall, which leaves almost no range to pull through
- Letting the toes slap back down instead of lowering under control
- Leaning forward off the wall so the body weight stops loading the shin
Variations
- Walk the feet further from the wall for more resistance
- Hold the top for three seconds
