Kettlebell Front Rack Squat
Squat · quads · intermediate
Start
FinishHow to do it
Rack two kettlebells so the bells rest on the forearms and the wrists stay straight, keep the elbows tucked in tight, then squat to full depth and stand.
Muscles worked
Primary: quads · Also works: glutes, core, upper back
Equipment
Kettlebells
Common mistakes
- Letting the wrists bend back under the bells instead of keeping a straight forearm line
- Flaring the elbows wide, which lets the bells pull the ribcage forward
- Holding the breath the whole set rather than breathing at the top between reps
Variations
- Single kettlebell racked on one side for an anti-rotation challenge
- Pause three seconds in the bottom
