Step one foot diagonally back and across behind the other, bending both knees until the rear knee is near the floor, then push through the front heel to return.

Common mistakes
- Crossing so far behind that the hips rotate and the front knee twists inward
- Bending only at the waist rather than actually dropping the back knee toward the floor
- Letting the front foot roll onto its inside edge instead of keeping the arch active

- Stay on one side for all reps before switching
