Towel Biceps Curl
Pull · biceps · beginner
Start
FinishHow to do it
Stand on the middle of a towel with one foot, hold both ends with one hand palm-up, and curl upward while pressing the foot down hard enough that the arm has to fight for every inch.
Muscles worked
Primary: biceps · Also works: forearms
Equipment
No equipment
Common mistakes
- Not pressing down with the foot, so there is no resistance to curl against
- Letting the elbow drift forward, which turns the tension into a front raise
- Rushing — with self-generated resistance the set only works if each rep takes three seconds up and three down
Variations
- Two-handed towel curl with both ends in one grip
- Isometric towel curl held for 20 seconds at 90 degrees
