Face away from a low or mid pulley holding a rope overhead, lean slightly forward in a split stance, and extend the arms out in front of the head from a deep elbow bend.

Common mistakes
- Letting the elbows drop and flare out to the sides
- Standing bolt upright, which shortens the cable's line of pull
- Letting the cable yank the arms back faster than you can resist
