Band Single-Leg Romanian Deadlift
Hinge · hamstrings · intermediate
Start
FinishHow to do it
Stand on a band with one foot and hold both ends in the opposite hand, then hinge over that standing leg letting the free leg travel back until the hamstring loads, and stand tall.
Muscles worked
Primary: hamstrings · Also works: glutes, core
Equipment
Resistance bands
Common mistakes
- Rotating the torso toward the loaded hand instead of keeping both hips level and square
- Standing on the band with the heel only, letting it slip mid-set
- Bending the standing knee more and more as the set goes on, which shifts the work to the quad
Variations
- Hold both ends in both hands for less rotational demand
- Rear foot lightly touching a wall behind you for balance
